Missed delivery/no contact number

Hi

My local courier tried and failed 3 delivery attempts each time leaving no contacting number,I contacted myhermes support and each time they sided with the courier are in the process of returning my parcel to sender. I even pinned a note to my door but the courier still ignored and posted final card with no number. I have copy and pasted my email conversation with myhermes support. Thanks

Thank you for getting in touch regarding parcel number 5549070771417184
I am sorry that your parcel was unable to be delivered to you.
I have checked and can see that the courier had attempted to deliver this parcel on three occasions, however, was unable to deliver the parcel due to no safe place for the parcel to be left.
Due to this reason, the parcel was returned to the sender on 10/8/19 and is on its way back.
I would now request you to please contact your sender for further assistance regarding your shipment.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience it has caused.

I have contacted the seller to let them know the situation. Does that mean the item will be picked up at no charge as your courier did not fulfill their duty? I even pinned a note on my door but your courier still ignored my request of a phone number.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused as the parcel was not delivered to your address and as the courier has not left any contact number on the calling.
I can see the courier attempted the delivery three times at your address hence the parcel is being returned to the retailer in this case I request you to contact ebay to re-arrange the delivery of the parcel as the parcel will now be returned to the retailer.

Your local courier has missed delivered 2 days running each time leaving a card with his name but no contact number. Your website is sub standard not offering a redelivery option also claiming you are the best parcel delivery company in the uk when almost all of your competition offer a redelivery service.
